While attending a Wealth Creation Seminar held in Brisbane city this week, Geoff & I headed off for a good steak on Wednesday night (obviously his craving), at Halo’s Resturant behind St Paul’s Tavern in Spring Hill.
After reading a very impressive menu, and Geoff drooling at the thought of a good Steak, when our dinners were brought to our table, we were sadly disappointed.
Never wanting to make a fuss, we were akward when the waiter came to the table to ask us how we were enjoying our meals. He assured us he could handle the truth, so we told him in the nicest way possible, what we thought (he wasn’t the chef after-all).
At this point we were never going to return to the restaurant a second time, our opinion to this point was that the food quality was just not great.
After a very sincere apology from the chef and several other staff, we were offered numerous compensations for our discontent. In the end they gave us a very generous discount and a final apology as we paid our bill and left with smiles all round.
When we needed something for dinner on Thursday night, we didn’t hesitate to give Halo’s another shot.
So glad we made the right decision. Our meals were Exceptional, and the service was Fantastic. I had the linguini pasta dish and Geoff had the Rump Steak. Not only will we return again, but we will recommend the restaurant to our friends.
