Children. The wind, the visit by a large bird pecking my toddlers
shoes… This is reality TV my friends…

Whooping Cough, a night in the Hospital w Baby
Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Thursday night was a little frightening… My little girl’s cough changed suddenly and dramatically… She was gasping for air and sounded really restricted in her breath.

I rushed her into the hospital and had her checked out. With all the Whooping Cough scares that have been around the place of late, I couldn’t take any chances.

Tears came to my eyes as the doctor put a name tag around her tiny ankle and said they would like to keep her overnight to watch her.

A drip was put in her little hand and an oxygen monitor on her foot. They took some blood and a mucus samples, and we had a restless overnight stay in the hospital. It was really strange and quite a shock, the only time I’ve ever stayed in hospital was to have babies!

Now we’re at home awaiting test results, and news that we can once again socialize. I’ll keep you updated…
