My boy is 4!
Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Today was Josiah’s 4th Birthday. He’s so very proud of himself for being so big! Everywhere we go, he tells people that he’s “4 now!” We took him up to 2BKids play centre this afternoon along with a few of his friends. By the time we left there, it was after 7pm and we were all starving.

We took the opportunity (and the risk) to take them to a nice Italian restaurant, our favorite in fact “Luna Rossa” at Tugun. The food there is the best I know of in Italian dining, it’s also the ONLY Pizza my husband enjoys!

The risk paid off, and the kids were really well behaved. Nothing like Pizza and spaghetti Bolognese to keep a bunch of rowdy young boys quite! Maybe it helped that they’d just spent the last 3hrs expelling energy…

Potty Training?
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

What a challenging week!

I’ve been cooped up at home here for the last 3days potty training my 20mth old little girl… Kids teach you so much about yourself, and so long as you have the right attitude - you can both learn during these trying times!!!

Anyway, it’s still a work in progress, but we have had some great success… I won’t gross you out with too much detail!

What I learned (again) is that quality time with your kids is absolutely priceless, there is really no need to spend a lot of money entertaining them (although that is fun sometimes!), it can be such a simple activity together… Nitika has been more affectionate toward me in the last couple of days, and I know she appreciated that one on one training time we had together without any interruptions from big brother!

Un-complicate your life, and enjoy the simple things - just like kids do!
