My Personal Update

After so many emails asking how we are going and what we’re up to, I thought it about time to update you on our travelling adventure.

We are currently on the Tweed Coast, parked at a beautiful property with our beautiful friends.  We’ve completed our “practice” run around the ACT and back up the coast of NSW, and are now doing a re-calibration before setting off on the big adventure.  We have only seen such a small part of our country in the last few months, and Geoff & I joke that if we can only do Gold Coast to Canberra in 5mths, we need 5 or 6 years to do the whole of Australia!

For those of you who are interested in the practical side of our bus life; We have done quite a few modifications to make things more suitable to us since our original departure; new toilet, complete overhaghl of plumbing works, new exhaust, ram flow air intake, new fuel tank, new toilet, shower door, fuel gauge, under bed drawers, cleaned injectors, relubed gearbox & diff, reconditioned rear brakes, put a main water inlet in, new 250L stainless steel water tank, vertically rolling out toolboxes in boot, just to name a few.  Geoff is currently designing and building our dining table, and next on the list is our awning.

Now we have been productive of late, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t had time for fun!  Here’s a few photo’s of our trip so far.

Well, no point denying it, Christmas is upon us.  The summer heat has arrived and our Christmas lights & trees are up.  And for some of us who are feeling rather organized, all ready with presents underneath.

Often in the holiday season, our goals go on hold, or are forgotten completely.  This only makes it so much harder to pick up the baton again in the new year.
Here’s a concept, we have 2weeks till Christmas, right?   Well, whether you like it or not, that’s just how it is.  What if, rather than waiting a month to make a “new years resolution” (we all know how well they’ve worked in the past), What changes can you make today to ensure you ‘hit the ground running’ in 2010?  As in, When would NOW be a good time to do what you know is in your best interest?

As for me, the holiday period is the perfect time to start working on a next book, with little interruption and lots of space to tap into my creativity;  Oh, and by the way, watch your inbox next week for a special offer on my new book “Monkey See, Monkey Don’t”
